About the Camden County Bar Foundation
|
A tradition of serving the community...
The legal profession is about helping people. The Camden County Bar Foundation was created in 1986 to meet
that aspiration. In a relatively short time, the Bar Foundation has already established an extraordinary tradition
of public service that continues to grow each year. The mission of the Bar Foundation is to help meet the needs of
those less fortunate as well as foster a greater understanding of our legal system. This charitable arm of the
Camden County Bar Association is backed by the volunteer efforts of many dedicated members who reach out to help
strengthen the local community.
This commitment is making a difference. Each year, the Foundation provides numerous law student scholarships
for outstanding members of the legal profession and also funds the "Roll of Honor," which provides college money
to children of deceased or incapacitated Camden County attorneys. In addition, the Foundation undertakes numerous
community service projects including:
- "Adopt-A-Family" program during the Holidays for disadvantaged Camden families
- Summer Picnic as well as a Holiday Party for disadvantaged children in the community
- Monetary Award to one outstanding senior at each of Camden County's High Schools
- Mock Trial competition for High School Students
- Law Day Celebration
- Bingo Nights for Nursing Home Residents
- And many other projects throughout the year that help to improve the quality of life in Camden County
